Description
The Mihaela Collection draws inspiration from the stained interiors of wine barrels, combining clean-lined modern silhouettes with a celebration of negative space. Each piece is masterfully crafted in Romania by a multigenerational family of artisans who apply hand finishes using a closely guarded process that takes up to three days.
- Constructed from alternating layers of solid Romanian oak and solid spruce wood in the Vin Rosu finish, or solid spruce wood with an American walnut veneer in the Walnut finish.
- Natural oil finishes are applied by hand to highlight the wood’s natural grain and color variations, while a final protective lacquer adds a subtle sheen.
- Hand-carved wood details are painted to mimic metallic brass accents (Vin Rosu finish) or oil-rubbed bronze accents (Walnut finish).
- Each unique due to variations in color, pattern, shape, and texture inherent to natural wood and hand-applied artisan finishes.
