Description
The Mihaela Collection, inspired by the stained interiors of wine barrels, celebrates negative space with clean-lined, modern silhouettes. Each piece is masterfully crafted by a multigenerational family of artisans in Romania who hand-apply finishes using a closely guarded process that takes up to three days to complete.
- Made from alternating layers of solid Romanian oak wood and solid spruce wood (Vin Rosu finish) or solid spruce wood with American walnut veneer (Walnut finish).
- Our artisan partners use hand-applied natural oil finishes to highlight the wood's grain and color variations, while a final protective lacquer layer adds a subtle sheen.
- Hand-carved wood details are carefully painted to mimic metallic brass accents on the Vin Rosu finish or oil-rubbed bronze accents on the Walnut finish.
- Consoles sit on metal legs and include two cavities, each with one adjustable/removable shelf.
- Because these are artisan-crafted furnishings made from natural wood with hand-applied finishes, each piece may vary in color, pattern, shape, and texture, making every item truly unique.
